The Top Hat once required the Abracadabra Engine to craft. That was changed in the Hungry for Your Hunger update due to the add-on of the Prestihatitator, which requires one Top Hat in the recipe and is prototyped with the Science Auto.
Willow says "A top lid and a lighter, perfect combination." when examining Top Chapeau. When equipped with Willow's Lighter, it volition completely negate sanity drain at nighttime in normal conditions (not wet, not virtually enemies, etc.).
